Latvia confirms 314 new Covid-19 cases, nine deaths

RIGA, May 6 (LETA) - Another 314 people in Latvia tested positive for Covid-19 and nine persons died of the coronavirus disease in the past 24 hours, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) informed LETA.

Of the 4,094 Covid-19 tests carried out on Thursday, 7.7 percent returned positive.

Of the new Covid-19 cases recorded in the past 24 hours, 80 people were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination course and 234 people were fully vaccinated.

Latvia's cumulative two-week number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population dropped from 304.7 to 280.8, the lowest figure since September 16, 2021 when Latvia's cumulative Covid-19 incidence was 297.6 cases per 100,000 population.
