Latvia confirms 198 new Covid-19 cases, two deaths

RIGA, May 12 (LETA) - Another 198 people in Latvia tested positive for Covid-19 and two persons died of the coronavirus disease in the past 24 hours, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) informed LETA.

Of the 3,212 Covid-19 tests carried out on Wednesday, 6.2 percent returned positive.

Of the new Covid-19 cases recorded in the past 24 hours, 48 people were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination course and 150 people were fully vaccinated.

Latvia's cumulative two-week number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population dropped from 221.7 to 204.3.
