Latvia confirms 1,775 new Covid-19 cases and one death

RIGA, Aug 3 (LETA) - Another 1,775 people tested positive for Covid-19 and one Covid-19 related death was reported in Latvia in the past 24 hours, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) informed.

Of the 5,075 Covid-19 tests carried out on Tuesday, 35 percent returned positive.

Of the new Covid-19 cases recorded in the past 24 hours, 682 people were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination course and 1,093 people were fully vaccinated.

Latvia's cumulative two-week number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population decreased from 976.9 to 960, according to CDC data.
