Largest number of new daily Covid-19 cases registered on Monday since April

RIGA, July 19 (LETA) - Another 1,179 people in Latvia tested positive for Covid-19 in the past day, the the Center for Disease Prevention and Control informed.

This is the largest number of new daily infections since April 13, when 1,277 new cases were registered.

Of the 4,248 people tested in the past day 27.8 percent were diagnosed with Covid-19.

Of the latest Covid-19 cases, 455 people were unvaccinated or had not competed their vaccination course and 724 were fully vaccinated.

Latvia's cumulative two-week number of Covid-19 cases rose from 498.4 per to 524.4 per 100,000 population.
