Karins would like to see experienced politicians in vacant ministerial posts

RIGA, may 19 (LETA) - Latvian Prime Minister Krisjanis karins (New Unity) would like to see experienced politicians in the vacant posts of the economics and interior ministers, the prime minister said in an interview with Diena daily.

"In politics sometimes it is misinterpreted what a professional is. A political profession is someone who understands the political processes, understanding public administration, knowing how to achieve the result in this complicated construction called public administration. If someone is an economist or a businessman who is placed in the public administration system, not knowing anything about politics, this person is a business professional but an amateur politician," said Karins.
