Karins' decision in regards to Golubeva could be made after his meeting with the minister

RIGA, May 12 (LETA) - Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins (New Unity) could make his decision in connection with the Minister of the Interior Marija Golubeva (For Development) after returning from discussing an important issue for Latvia's security and after meeting with the minister, Ainars Latkovskis, Chairman of New Unity's Saeima group, told LETA.

The MP emphasized that Karins is currently on a working visit to Canada to ensure that one of the most important issues for the deployment of a NATO brigade in Latvia is adopted at the forthcoming NATO Summit in the summer.

Latkovskis explained that this is not an easy task, because until NATO's decision, it must be clear which countries would be ready to send such a large number of troops.
