A joint Latvian-Estonian government meeting could be held next year

RIGA, July 21 (LETA) - A joint meeting of the governments of Latvia and Estonia is planned for next year, which would outline the areas and goals for even closer cooperation between the two countries, Deputy Saeima Speaker Dagmara Beitnere-Le Galla (Conservatives) said during a meeting today with the Estonian Ambassador to Latvia Arti Hilpus.

The Estonian ambassador had come to the parliament on a farewell visit, the Seaima's press service told LETA.

"Latvia and Estonia share a common history, similar values and interests. We must continue to move forward together and constantly strengthen cooperation between our countries," Beitnere-Le Galla emphasized.

The politician emphasized the importance of united actions of the two neighboring countries both in regards to the Covid-19 pandemic and the current geopolitical situation...
