Inflation in Eu Down to 1.5% in August; 0.1% Deflation in Latvia

Annual inflation in the European Union reduced to 1.5 percent in August, compared to 1.7 percent in July, according to the latest data from the EU's statistical bureau "Eurostat"

Latvia recorded deflation - 0.1 percent.

Deflation was also registered in Greece - 1 percent, and Bulgaria - 0.7 percent.

The lowest annual inflation was registered in Denmark and Cyprus - 0.1 percent each, followed by Portugal - 0.2 percent, and Lithuania - 0.5 percent.
