If State Cannot Invest in Infrastructure of Internal Security, Society Should Step Up in Ensuring Public Order Girgens

RIGA, March 4 (LETA) If the state cannot ensure a sufficient amount of investments in sustainable internal security infrastructure solutions, then possibly the society should step up in esnuring public order, said Interior Minister Sandis Girgens (KPV LV) during a meeting with representatives of the Association of Latvia's Large Cities (LLPA) and chiefs of municipal police.

The minister's aide Karlis Miksons told LETA that Girgens has underscored the necessity to work "shoulder by shoulder" to successfully invest in state security and different preventive measures.
