Hungary taking over lead of NATO Baltic air policing mission from Spain

VILNIUS, July 29 (LETA--BNS) - A detachment of the Hungarian Air Force is taking over the lead role of NATO's Baltic air policing mission from the Spanish Air Force in a ceremony at Lithuania's military air base in Siauliai on Friday.

The ceremony is to be attended by Lithuanian Deputy Defense Minister Vilius Semeska, Hungarian Defense Minister Kristof Szalay-Bobrovniczky, Lithuania's Chief of Defense Valdemaras Rupsys and his Hungarian counterpart, Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, and others, the Lithuanian Defense Ministry has said in a press release.
