Highest cumulative number of Covid-19 cases since April registered last weekend

RIGA, Aug 1 (LETA) - Latvia's cumulative two-week number of new Covid-19 cases rose from 892.7 per 100,000 population last Thursday to 948.9 on Sunday, which is the highest figure since April 11 when the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases was 991.9 per 100,000 population, according to the Center for Disease Prevention and Control.

Of the 7,737 Covid-19 tests taken over the past three days, 33.7 percent returned positive. Of the 2,605 new Covid-19 cases, 1,114 people were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination course and 1,491 were fully vaccinated.
