Fresh milk purchase price in Latvia up 4.1% in April

RIGA, May 20 (LETA) - In April 2022, the average purchase price of fresh milk in Latvia was EUR 452.1 per ton, which is an increase of 4.1 percent from March and an increase of 48.1 percent against April 2021, according to the latest data released by the Agricultural Data Center.

The lowest purchase price of fresh milk in Latvia was EUR 316.1 per ton, while the highest price was EUR 520 per ton in April.

In April 2022 the average fresh milk purchase price in the European Union (EU) stood at EUR 445.1 per ton, up 2.4 percent from March this year. Compared to April 2021, the milk purchase price climbed 25.3 percent in the EU.
