Forpet Baltic invests over EUR 14 million in food packaging plant in Ventspils

RIGA, July 26 (LETA) - Forpet Baltic has invested over EUR 14 million in a Ventspils-based production plant that will be making food packaging, representatives of the Freeport of Ventspils informed LETA.

Forpet Baltic launched work on the environmentally-friendly food packaging project in the Ventspils port territory in May 2021. Total investments made in the project so far exceed EUR 14 million, which currently makes Forpet Baltic the largest investment project in Ventspils. Although the production plant is still in the process of development, it already employs 50 people - office workers and other employees who are learning to operate the new production equipment.
