Five wild boars killed by ASF found in Latvia last week

RIGA, May 16 (LETA) - Five new cases of African swine fever (ASF) have been recorded in Latvia's wild boar population last week, the Food and Veterinary Service reported.

So far this year ASF has been found in 346 wild boars in 92 counties of 22 municipalities of Latvia.

The ASF outbreak started in Latvia in June 2014 not far from the border with Belarus.
