First-time registration of passenger cars in Latvia down 2% in seven months

RIGA, Aug 4 (LETA) - In January-July 2022 first-time registration of passenger cars in Latvia decreased by 2 percent year-on-year, with 36,034 cars registered for the first time in the seven-month period, according to the information from the Latvian Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD).

The vehicles registered for the first time in Latvia in January-July this year also include 5,833 trucks, up 4.8 percent from the same period a year ago, 259 buses, down 11.9 percent, as well as 3,408 motorcycles and trikes, up 8.6 percent.
