Exports of wooden furniture up 6.8% in five months

RIGA, July 23 (LETA) - Latvia's exports of wooden furniture increased by 6.8 percent in the first five months of the year compared to the same period in 2021, according to data compiled by the Ministry of Agriculture.

In the first five months of 2022, wooden furniture was exported from Latvia in the total amount of EUR 91.575 million, including to Denmark - in the amount of EUR 25.716 million, which is 28.1 percent (30.2 percent a year ago) of the total export of wooden furniture and by 0.8 percent less than in the first five months of 2021.

In the first five months of 2022, wooden furniture worth EUR 7.829 million euros was exported to Germany, which is a decrease of 0.6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, and to Sweden - EUR 7.008 million, which is an decrease of 8.5 percent.
