Expobank posts EUR 831,000 million in losses in Q1

RIGA, May 27 (LETA) - Latvia's Expobank closed the first quarter with a loss of EUR 831,000 million, a twofold increase on the first quarter of 2021, the bank said on Friday.

The bank's assets stood at EUR 64.043 million on March 31, compared to EUR 78.629 million at the end of March 2021.

By the end of March, Expobank had attracted deposits totaling EUR 31.569 million, a decrease of 28 percent year on year. Expobank's loan portfolio decreased 35.6 percent to EUR 20.608 million.

The bank's capital and reserves dropped 2.1 percent from the end of March 2020 to EUR 31.927 million.

In the first three months of 2021, Expobank sustained a loss of EUR 405,000, while its audited loss in the full 2021 was EUR 2.113 million.
