Estonia: Elering pays out nearly EUR 8.2 mln in renewable energy subsidies in April

TALLINN, May 17, BNS - Estonian transmission system operator (TSO) Elering paid out 8.16 million euros in renewable energy subsidy and high-efficiency cogeneration subsidy in April 2022.

Elering paid out close to 7.8 million euros in renewable energy subsidy and 227,400 euros in high-efficiency cogeneration subsidy during the month, the company announced.

This included some 4,600 euros paid out in biogas subsidy, some 2.6 million euros paid out in biomass subsidy, over 2.2 million euros paid out in wind energy subsidy, 40,900 euros paid out in hydro-energy subsidy and some 3 million euros paid out in solar energy subsidy.

During the first four months of 2022, Elering paid out altogether some 31.6 million euros under the two items.
