DelfinGroup posts 24.2% turnover rise in Q1

RIGA, May 11 (LETA) - DelfinGroup non-bank lender in the first quarter of this year posted EUR 7.476 million in turnover, up 24.2 percent from the respective period a year ago, while the company's profit increased 76 percent to EUR 1.414 million, the company said in its statement to the Nasdaq Riga stock exchange.

The company's loan portfolio increased by 46 percent compared to the respective period last year to EUR 47 million.

EBITDA in the first quarter was EUR 2.58 million respectively, showing an 8 percent growth.

Didzis Admidins, DelfinGroup Chairman of the Board, said that the most rapid growth at the beginning of the year was achieved particularly in pawnshop lending and other consumer loan segments.

"In the first three months, we issued EUR 15.1 million in first loans, which is a 60 percent increase against year-on-year, and among other things, Banknote pawn loans increased by 30 percet during the first quarter against the same period of 2021," he said.
