Corruption Prevention Bureau carries out 22 probes in possible pre-election campaign violations

RIGA, Aug 4 (LETA) - The Corruption Prevention Bureau (KNAB) currently is carrying out 22 probes in alleged pre-election campaign violations, LETA learned from the bureau.

Six of these probes are related with hidden campaigning and five probes with alleged use of state and municipal administrative resources for campaign activities.

Other probes are related with possible violations in placement of campaign materials.

s reported, the official campaign period started on June 4 in the runup to the 14th Saeima elections, scheduled for October 1.
