Compensa non-life insurer's premiums in Baltics up 40.3% in 2021

RIGA, May 3 (LETA) - Non-life insurer Compensa Vienna Insurance Group (Compensa) racked up EUR 171.6 million in premiums in the Baltic countries in 2021, which is an increase of 40.3 percent against a year before, LETA was told at the company.

In Latvia, Compensa premiums totaled EUR 52.4 million last year - an increase of 44.2 percent on 2020. In Lithuania, insurance premiums grew 30.6 percent on year to EUR 74.3 million and in Estonia the insurer grossed EUR 44.9 million in premiums, which is 54.2 percent more than in 2020.

The insurer's profit in the Baltics before paying taxes was EUR 8 million last year. Earnings from insurance and other services totaled EUR 5.36 million, while investments generated EUR 2.7 million.
