Coalition Has Not Yet Agreed on Candidate for Central Election Commission's Chairperson

RIGA, March 4 (LETA) - The ruling coalition still has not reached agreement on the next chairperson of the Central Election Commission, Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins (New Unity) told reporters after the coalition's meeting today.

Discussions at Saeima will continue this week, added Karins.

For Development/For co-chairman Daniels Pavluts said that the matter was not discussed during the coalition's meeting today, but it could be discussed by the heads of Saeima groups this week, as this is the last week when candidates may be nominated for the Central Election Commission's head.
