Briskens, Nenaseva, Gatere, Svinka and Rasima top Progressives ticket for Saeima elections

RIGA, July 20 (LETA) - The Progressives have picked Kaspars Briskens as their candidate for Latvia's next prime minister and also as the lead candidate running in the upcoming Saeima elections in Vidzeme, Briskens informed at a presentation of the party's candidates.

ntonina Nenaseva, a member of Riga City Council, will be running in the parliamentary elections in Riga, the party's co-chairman Atis Svinka will be running Zemgale, Liene Gatere, a former head of pro-transparency NGO Delna, will be running Kurzeme and Leila Rasima, a member of Rezekne City Council, will be running in the elections in Latgale.
