Bank of Latvia to issue a coin dedicated to artist Vilhelms Purvitis

RIGA, May 19 (LETA) - On May 25, the Bank of Latvias is issuing a silver collector coin dedicated to Latvian artist Vilhelms Purvitis, LETA learned from the bank.
Vilhelms Purvtis (18721945) ranks among the most remarkable painters representing the period from the end of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, and he was among the most prominent founders of the Latvian National Museum of Art and the Art Academy of Latvia.
The collector coin will be available for purchase only on the website e-monetas.lv from 12.00 (noon) on May 25.
