Baltic defense ministers to discuss regional security

VILNIUS, May 27, BNS The ministers of defense of the three Baltic countries are to discuss regional security and cooperation at a meeting on the Estonian island of Saaremaa on Friday.
The meeting will touch upon preparations for the forthcoming NATO summit in Madrid in June, where the Baltic countries expect key decisions on strengthening the alliance's eastern flank, spokespeople for the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense said.
The ministers will also discuss procurements and the development of joint capabilities.
Estonia chairs the Baltic defense cooperation format this year.
