When thinking about Ukraine, we think also about Crimean Tatars, Saeima Speaker Inara Murniece (National Alliance) said in a videoconference organized today by the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People to mark the 78th anniversary of the deportations of Crimean Tatars.

As LETA was told at the Saeima press office, Murniece said at the conference that Latvia is interested in Ukraine's complete victory in the ongoing war and a full restoration of its territorial sovereignty, including Crimea's reunification with Ukraine.

"This is a precondition for sustainable peace in Europe. Crimean Tatars are Ukraine's patriots, and when thinking about Ukraine, we think also about the Crimean Tatars," the Saeima speaker said.
