Alcohol production in Latvia up 22.2% in Q1

RIGA, May 26 (LETA) - In January -March 2022 Latvia produced 13.518 million liters of alcoholic beverages (excluding beer), which is an increase of 22.2 percent against the respective period a year ago, according to the excised goods data released by the State Revenue Service.

In the first quarter of this year, wine production increased by 19.4 percent, production of intermediate products with up to 15 percent alcohol content jumped 92 percent and production output in the group of other alcoholic beverages was up 23.9 percent.
