RIGA, May 29 (LETA) - Ausma Kantane-Ziedone, an actress and a former Saeima member, and widow of the late poet Imants Ziedonis, passed away at the age of 80 on Sunday, Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics said on Twitter.
ccording to LETA archives, Kantane-Ziedone was born in Riga on November 10, 1941. She graduated from Jazeps Vitols Conservatory in 1963 with a degree in acting.
