Accommodation facilities for Ukrainian refugees in Jelgava municipality filled to capacity

RIGA, May 30 (LETA) - In the central Latvian municipality of Jelgava, accommodation facilities for Ukrainian refugees have been filled up to capacity, LETA was told at the municipality.

t present, the Jelgava municipality has provided accommodation to around 330 Ukrainian war refugees.

For the time being, refugees are not being accommodated in facilities like gyms and halls, as some refugees leave the Jelgava municipality for other municipalities or Ukraine, while others arrive, local officials said.

The Jelgava municipality is planning to provide more beds for refugees with the government's support. In case of a larger influx of refugees, they might be housed in schools or sports facilities, but for the time being there is no such necessity.
