69 cases of African swine fever reported in Latvia's wild board population last week

RIGA, Aug 2 (LETA) - A total of 69 new cases of African swine fever (ASF) were reported in Latvia's wild boar population last week, the Food and Veterinary Service informed.

The ASF cases were reported in the municipalities of Rezekne, Preili, Gulbene, Kraslava, Cesis, Ludza, Augsdaugava, Balvi, Tukums, Aizkraukle, Kuldiga, Saldus and Ventspils.

So far this year ASF has been found in 630 wild boars in 143 parishes of 26 municipalities of Latvia.
