570 Ukrainian refugees have to be relocated to other accommodation in Riga due to reduction in support for refugees

RIGA, May 25 (LETA) - Due to a reduction in support for Ukrainian refugees, 570 refugees need to be relocated to other accommodation, Riga Municipal Police's deputy chief Andrejs Aronovs told a press conference on Monday.

ccording to the government's decision, support for accommodation of refugees in tourist accommodation facilities has been reduced from EUR 20 to EUR 15 per day, and catering for refugees from EUR 15 to EUR 10.

Following the government's decision, several tourist accommodation facilities have said that they can no longer accommodate refugees. Aronov explained a total of 570 people had to be relocated.
