35 cases of African swine fever reported in Latvia's wild board population last week

RIGA, July 19 (LETA) - A total of 35 new cases of African swine fever (ASF) were reported in Latvia's wild boar population last week, the Food and Veterinary Service informed.
The ASF cases were reported in the municipalities of Ludza, Rezekne, Kuldiga, Gulbene, Balvi, Cesis, Ventspils, Augsdaugava and Tukums.
So far this year ASF has been found in 488 wild boars in 123 parishes of 25 municipalities of Latvia.
