1,705 new Covid-19 cases registered on Monday; three deaths reported

RIGA, Aug 2 (LETA) - Another 1,705 people in Latvia tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) informed.

Of the 5,634 Covid-19 tests carried out on Monday, 30.3 percent returned positive.

Of the new Covid-19 cases recorded in the past 24 hours, 736 people were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination course and 969 people were fully vaccinated.

Latvia's cumulative two-week number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population rose from 948.9 to 976.9, according to CDC data.

Latvia's cumulative seven-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population increased from 484.1 to 502.
